What is the B1 test?
Part of the UK ESOL qualifications, it checks intermediate English ability. Speaking is face to face with an examiner; listening has three parts on everyday English.

03 Who needs this
TfL requires PHV drivers to prove B1 English via a PeopleCert video call. Citizenship applicants need it for ILR and naturalisation, with speaking and listening sections.
